Lunch - Booking Conditions

Terms for Booking Lunches


  1. Every effort is made to adhere to the published menus but no guarantee can be given should unforeseen shortages of certain foods occur. However, alternatives will always be offered when necessary.
  2. All bookings, together with payment in full, must be received no later than SEVEN DAYS prior to the date of the lunch.  Bookings received after that date are liable to be returned. In the case of last minute bookings, please telephone 817007 to confirm availability before sending booking forms and remittances.
  3. Once bookings have been passed to the venue, cancellation will not attract refunds although efforts will be made to obtain a credit from the management concerned.  When this is allowed, the amount paid will be credited to the member’s account.
  4. Wherever possible, luncheon meetings will commence at about 12 midday and conclude about  3pm. No undertaking can be given regarding exact times and where limited time parking facilities are used, a safe margin of time should be allowed for.
  5. The Association accepts no responsibility should a speaker or entertainer fail to arrive as booked. If sufficient notice has been given to the Association then resort will be made to a panel of emergency speakers or entertainers held for this purpose.  Whilst the Association will do its utmost to provide a last minute alternative, no guarantees are given of their availability.
  6. Bookings are transferable and in cases where members are unable to attend for some reason, they are urged to invite a friend or relative to take their place.  However, in such cases, it is essential that the change of booking is advised (telephone 817007) together with any changes in the chosen menu that may be involved.
